The Kent-based leaders in solar and thermal technology are rewarded for their outstanding hybrid PVT solution.
Newform Energy, the UK’s leading specialist in the research, development and supply of renewable energy solutions, and in particular those that harness solar energy, has been shortlisted in the \’Sustainable Product Innovation category\’ for their pioneering hybrid Photovoltaic-Thermal (PV-T) technology. Newform Energy was the first company in the UK to launch this new technology that can supply both electricity and heat from just one single panel, rather than the traditional two required, and which has now been a system of choice for numerous Passivhaus new builds and UK Housing Associations.
The Sustainable Housing Awards 2013, organised by Inside Housing magazine and its sister publication Sustainable Housing, put the spotlight on the best green social housing projects constructed in the UK, and the organisations responsible for them. The trophies will be presented at a ceremony hosted by the award winning stand-up comedian, TV and radio regular Josie Long on Friday 18 October at the Lancaster London Hotel.
Already this year, Newform Energy scooped both a 2013 Environment and Energy Award as well as a prestigious Rushlight Light Award – widely regarded as the Oscars of the sustainability world. Newform Energy\’s hybrid solar technology was installed at Sunny Bank, a pioneering Passivhaus building located in the Scottish borders that was the Winner of the Grand Designs House of the year award 2011.
