Tager Stonor Richardson unveils its new website

Specialist art investigators, Tager Stonor Richardson today launches its new website that provides provides a comprehensive understanding on how they use the latest technology to reveal the construction, and frequently authenticity, of important works of art.

Tager Stonor Richardson, established in 2002, is one of the UK’s leading infrared reflectography specialists that has become a key tool for conservation and art historical research and who has been called on to examine important paintings  in museums  art galleries, historic houses and private collections.  TSR’s imaging equipment can see through upper paint layers, varnish and dirt, revealing drawing and alterations to the composition. This gives a greater insight into artists’ techniques, materials employed and the relationship between the master painter and a workshop of assistants. It has been used as a tool to help establish the authenticity and attribution of works of art and, importantly, can reveal areas of damage and restoration.

TSR Imaging asked Barking Dog to help develop their new website to help it more easily demonstrate to clients the importance of infrared technology in role of art conservation and research. The new site has an expanded library of infra-red images, from leading galleries such as the National Portrait Gallery, the Courtauld Gallery and the National Trust, plus a rich bibliography of resource information on techniques, artists and important works of art where their technology has been employed.
